The 2024 Sierra 1500 comes with some changes for the new model year, including updated wheel designs and a few new exterior color options. The truck's 2.7-liter engine is now referred to as the TurboMax. The 3.0-liter Duramax® engine also sees some improvements, boosting its power output slightly. Different bed lengths are also available for the Elevation trim.
Performance
The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 comes with many advanced powertrains, including a TurboMax engine that delivers 430 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The available 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 can produce up to 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The largest engine is 6.2 liters in size. This EcoTec3 V8 cranks out up to 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. There's also a 3.0-liter Duramax® turbodiesel engine that can provide Cabool drivers with 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.
Both the 8- and 10-speed automatic transmission provide smooth gear changes. With the Duramax® turbodiesel engine and four-wheel drive, Mountain View drivers can expect to be able to tow up to 13,300 pounds.
Technology
The new GMC Sierra 1500 is equipped with Google Built-In, giving you access to Google Maps, Google Assistant and the Google Play Store.
